StumbleAudio is a StumbleUpon for indie music. A nice and pretty website to listen and discover cool indie music. It is exclusively for indie music and has over 2 million songs (from more than 120.000 artists) in its database.
The ideas behind StumbleAudio is to help listeners find the indie music they are likely to enjoy. Listeners are first asked to name one of their favorite artists or bands. Then it creates a new indie radio station comprising of similar indie artists.

Novlet is a web application designed to support collaborative writing of non-linear stories in any language. With Novlet you will be able to read stories written by other users, create your own ones, and choose the plot you like most from several alternatives.
Novlet stories are divided in passages, text sections usually made of a few paragraphs: users can continue stories or add alternative storylines by creating their passages after existing ones. The only limit is your fantasy.

Here is an interesting endeavor: The WOT porn crawler. The “porn crawler” (elegantly titled in my opinion) was created to find the relationships and interconnectedness between pornography websites. This image displays the magnitude of links from one porn site to others. I’m really not sure how much time or effort was devoted to this project, but the resulting images are actually really cool. They are like recently discover deep see jellyfish that evoke wonderment in the hearts of children. Too far? Maybe? More pictures after the jump.

SwarmSketch is an ongoing online canvas that explores the possibilities of distributed design by the masses. Each week it randomly chooses a popular search term which becomes the sketch subject for the week. In this way, the collective is sketching what the collective thought was important each week. A new sketch begins after one week, or after the previous sketch reaches one thousand lines, whichever comes first.
Each user can contribute a small amount of line per visit, then they are given the opportunity to vote on the opacity of lines submitted by other users. By voting, users moderate the input of other users, judging the quality of each line. The darkness of each line is the average of all its previous votes.
