Are you looking for some new music to dabble in? If you are, Tune Glue music map is a solid place to start. Tune Glue is a “relationship explorer” and the concept is painfully simple.

Enter the name of a musical artist and search through the interface to find other artists with similar musical qualities. In doing some of my own exploring, I found that Tune Glue not only matches up musical elements but seems to find real world relationships as well. A search for Neutral Milk Hotel yielded The Olivia Tremor Control as one of the results. While not similar musically, both bands are on the same independent label (The Elephant Six Recording Company) and go hand in hand in more ways than one. By clicking on the bubble that represents an artists you can choose to “expand” and find like artists or check out the album releases of the artist you have selected. The site also promises to have more detailed information very soon. Using data from Amazon and Last.fm Tune Glue does a good job at giving you leads to artists you may never have heard of.
